World Chess Championship 2024 🌏

The World Chess Championship’s venue has been announced. It will take place at the majestic Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), co-hosted by the Singapore Chess Federation .

In anticipation of the event, the Singapore Chess Federation and FIDE will co-organize the Singapore Chess Festival from November 25 to December 5th. The festival will have simul exhibitions, tournaments and classes. There will be the International Open, showcasing Singapore’s strong national and local chess players. If you are planning to visit Singapore for the championship, be sure to check this out!

So what’s the chess scene like in Singapore? 🤔

Most official events are hosted by the Singapore Chess Federation (SCF), founded in 1949. They are also the ‘principal authority over all chess events in Singapore.’ You can visit their IG here.
